To achieve this vision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students must have access to high-quality instruction everyday; and<\/li>\n<li>Teachers must have access to high-quality instructional materials that get students excited to learn and the professional learning needed to use those materials well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/education.delaware.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/digital_de\/de-delivers-hqim-overview.pdf\">High quality instructional materials (HQIM)<\/a> provide a road map for teachers on how to plan, teach, and assess student learning throughout the year and ensure they are mastering the skills needed to be college and career ready.<\/p>\n<p>Delaware defines HQIM as those materials that:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>include a full year\u2019s worth of teacher materials<\/strong> (e.g., syllabi, lesson plans) <strong>and student materials<\/strong> (e.g., books, assignments, tests) that support student mastery of grade-level material;<\/li>\n<li>are <strong>fully aligned to Delaware\u2019s standards<\/strong> for what students should know and be able to do at the end of each school year;
