TNTP

A national nonprofit founded by teachers, TNTP is a partner for change in public education. TNTP has worked with districts across the country to implement HQIM and to build the capacity of district and school leaders, coaches, and teachers to strengthen instruction in alignment with their HQIM. TNTP is an approved provider in Rivet Education’s Professional Learning Partner Guide (PLPG) and has been vetted for a variety of high-quality curricula for mathematics, science, and ELA.

About Our Team

As a national non-profit with approximately 900+ staff members, TNTP has the capacity and infrastructure to support partner Delaware LEAs in developing and implementing professional learning for teachers. As of June 1, 2025, 49% of our staff identify as people of color.

Service Overview

Even the strongest materials won’t shift student experiences if educators don’t receive support to use materials effectively. We work with our partners to set a vision, build educator capacity, progress monitor, and continuously improve to ensure that everyone in the system effectively leverages HQIM. We provide professional learning along the vertical spine of support, including district leaders, school leaders, instructional coaches, and teachers, to ensure that all stakeholders have knowledge of evidence-based instructional practice, an understanding of HQIM design, asset-based mindsets around students’ ability to engage with rigorous materials, and knowledge of the instructional systems to support strong implementation.

Building District Capacity

TNTP believes that district leaders, principals, coaches, and classroom educators must be aligned on a vision for evidence-based practice and expectations for HQIM implementation. TNTP designs transformative professional learning for all stakeholders along this “vertical spine,”, so that each stakeholder group can play an appropriate role in implementation. Professional learning is differentiated for each group, but aligned to the district’s vision. For example, professional learning for school leaders focuses on unpacking HQIM for the purposes of observation and establishing school conditions for strong use of the materials, whereas learning for teachers focuses on unpacking materials for the purpose of instruction.

Addressing Equity

TNTP collaborates with educators to provide quality education by offering high-quality, grade-level materials and preparing teachers to implement them effectively. We tailor training programs to each school’s context, emphasizing inclusive practices and effective teaching strategies. Our services include collaborative approaches, data-driven insights, and targeted support to address opportunity gaps. Through continuous improvement, feedback, and adaptation, TNTP promotes learning environments where every student can succeed regardless of their background. By integrating community insights and educational best practices, TNTP works with educators to ensure all students access the resources and support needed to thrive.

Title Description
Sample District Coaching Plan This District Coaching Plan for Shore Education Collaborative illustrates how we organize coaching plans for district support, including scheduling all of the planned touchpoints to drive towards goals for literacy equity.
Sample Systems Analysis Report/ Literacy Systems Scan In Spring 2023, Barnstable Public Schools partnered with TNTP to conduct a System Analysis. The purpose of the System Analysis is to evaluate the systems, policies, MTSS structures, and processes contributing to the current state of teaching and learning. This System Analysis, built upon the voices of a diverse range of stakeholders, including families, teachers, community members and students – with close attention to identifying areas that may serve as potential barriers not identified or currently prioritized by the district – will inform the development of a coherent MTSS model and literacy action plan that is aligned to your district’s strengths, identified areas for growth, and the community context
Sample Literacy Action Plan This sample action plan for Brockton Public Schools includes an overview of district strategy, key actions aligned to strategy, and roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders, as well as a plan for continuous improvement and progress monitoring.
Sample Impact/Outcomes Report This Impact Report for Revere Public Schools analyses high-quality instructional practices between 2022 and 2024, both quantitative and qualitative data. The report describes key actions taken to achieve instructional coherence, and data on core action instructional practices change over time.
Sample Science of Reading Proposal This sample proposal describes our professional learning around The Science of Reading. We have extensive experience partnering with LEA’s to design and provide professional learning to both teachers and leaders (principals, assistant principals, coaches) focused on the science of reading. This proposal outlines an example scope & sequence of learning for both audiences. We can also customize the support to meet the needs of our clients.
