Nextcelerate

Nextcelerate is a high-impact tutoring program grounded in the National Student Support Accelerator’s (NSSA) standards for high-impact tutoring and includes a clear theory of change that supports both academic achievement and the social-emotional well-being of students. In addition to our high-quality tutors, we differentiate ourselves through tutoring managers that are dedicated to each school and ensure student outcomes through program oversight, constant collaboration, and on-going tutor professional development.

About Our Team

We have approximately 1,100 tutors.

Out of that team we have lead tutors/coaches of approximately 100 to support that group when they are all working.

Unfortunately we are not allowed to require background (gender, ethnicity, etc.) information when hiring. However, from a diversity perspective we estimate that approximately 50-60% of our tutor workforce comes from a minority background.

Service Overview

Nextcelerate brings experienced tutors into schools to conduct small group sessions, ensuring each student receives individualized support and mentoring tailored to their unique learning needs. By using research-based strategies, Nextcelerate creates a supportive environment that maximizes academic growth and development, helping students overcome educational disparities and achieve their full potential.

Building District Capacity

Our approach is based on collaboration and making data informed decisions. The relationship built with the district is key in supporting long term success. We provide regular reporting and impact data, including attendance, engagement, and growth metrics, so leaders can make informed decisions. Site leaders are supported with knowledge of our protocols and coordination to ensure a smooth implementation. We work with the teachers to ensure a seamless alignment with standards and pacing within the sessions. Through transparency, collaboration and a student centered approach, we create a model that supports long term success beyond the tutoring program itself.

Addressing Equity

We address equity by providing inclusive, curriculum-aligned instruction and high quality professional learning that supports all learners. All tutors are trained in culturally responsive practices and our tutor team reflects the diversity of the students we serve- many with certifications in SPED, ESL, and reading specialists. We target to hire multilingual tutors to ensure inclusion of as many students as possible. By targeting the support to historically underserved students and hiring educators with the ability to meet a wide range of needs, we help close the opportunity gaps and ensure every student receives personalized, high impact support.
