About Our Team
The Lexia team includes 274 facilitators and 6 coaches. Of these, 12% of facilitators and 33.3% of coaches come from diverse backgrounds or underserved populations.
Service Overview
LETRS (grades PK-5) addresses four critical outcomes for effective literacy instruction: understanding the Science of Reading, converting research to practice, enhancing teacher effectiveness, and transforming instruction. By understanding the “why” behind the science and evidence-based research, educators can effectively aid students in learning to read. Aspire (grades 4-8) engages educators in understanding the shift from students learning to read to reading to learn and addresses what effective instruction should include and why some students struggle.
Building District Capacity
Lexia builds district capacity through LETRS and Aspire Success Partnerships, offering continuous support, flexible formats, and 24/7 access to implementation tools. These services empower all stakeholders to develop their capacity, knowledge, and confidence to successfully lead the implementation and produce literacy gains for students.
Districts can ensure the long-term success of LETRS by developing Local Certified Facilitators (LCFs). LCFs have a deep understanding of LETRS content with a commitment to become experts in the research and evidence-based theories of LETRS, and the intention to support the implementation and sustainability of LETRS in their district.
Addressing Equity
LETRS and Aspire empower educators to deliver effective, research-based instruction that meets the diverse needs of all students. Administrators are supported to lead change by promoting self-reflection among staff on how culture, beliefs, and biases impact literacy instruction. Professional Learning is grounded in the Science of Reading and draws from neuroscience, psychology, and linguistics, equipping educators to close literacy gaps and support students who need targeted interventions.
Lexia fosters inclusive environments that honor students’ cultural and linguistic backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to high-quality instruction and helping close literacy gaps, especially for historically underserved and marginalized populations.
