Building District Capacity

The Great Minds Success Team includes expert facilitators with extensive experience teaching or leading implementations of Great Minds’ curricula. Great Minds selects a small, consistent team who will collectively deliver services and maintain ongoing relationships within the district. A Success Lead is assigned as the primary contact for implementation planning, check-in meetings, personalized end-of-year renewal support, and ongoing support, as the district builds capacity in subsequent years. Success Coaches provide teacher- and leader-facing professional learning and coaching. Districts may choose to opt-in to site-based coaching support for teachers to build their capacity and knowledge of our curricula to support implementation.

Addressing Equity

Equity is core to the Great Minds mission to make the world a more knowledge-rich place. While knowledge has the potential to create opportunities for people to reach their greatest potential, many face barriers in accessing it. Our research-based products and services prioritize readability, accessibility, and equity to help remove historical barriers. Great Minds’ rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum maintains high expectations ensuring equitable access to high-quality instruction for all learners.

Equity also guides the work of Great Minds’ Professional Development and Success teams and impacts the way they support adult learners, who have such capacity for influencing students’ opportunities and self-perception.

Sample Scopes of Work and Other Resources

Great Minds is prepared to collaborate with Delaware DOE leaders to determine a custom implementation plan that best meets the needs of district educators and students. The Success Leader will work directly with district leaders to determine the custom plan, and maintain an open line of communication for planning, implementation, and troubleshooting throughout the contract term.

In addition, the district’s dedicated Account Solutions Manager and Digital Implementation Success Representative will maintain open lines of communication with the district to ensure successful implementation and can escalate challenges as needed.

While the Implementation Plan will be finalized in collaboration with district leaders, Great Minds recommends the following professional learning sequence during the first two/three years of implementation. Sessions are offered in both onsite and synchronous virtual formats. Virtual sessions achieve the same professional learning outcomes as onsite sessions.
