CTE Career Advisement Assistant

The Career Advisement Assistant is an internal data AI chatbot tool that has been created to assist educators to support middle school advisement (e.g., SSP and PSAP support, lesson plans, resource creation). It has been trained on key resources from across DOE working groups, including the Middle Grades CTE Exploration Standards, DOE Title 14 Regulations, Delaware Pathways, Work-Based Learning Policies and Procedures, American School Counseling Association (ASCA) Standards, Advance CTE & ACTE’s Broadening the Path. This AI chatbot could easily adapt a lesson plan or activity to include a few questions or activities that align tightly with the CTE Exploration Standards, along with MTSS, ASCA, WBL standards, and the core standards the advisor is focused on (e.g., Next Generation Science Standards in Science). Emphasizing the capabilities of this tool and providing the user guide for assistance, can help advisors explore first-hand how career advisement can be incorporated into current plans.
