Pleasant High School (8)<\/p>\n<p>Newark Charter School (9)<\/p>\n<p>Sanford School (13)<\/p>\n<p>Springer Middle School (2)<\/p>\n<p>Sussex Tech High School (18)<\/p>\n<p>Talley Middle School (3)<\/p>\n<p>William Penn High School (26)<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">*The number listed beside each school denotes the total number of times the school has won the award<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSportsmanship is the cornerstone of athletics. The DIAA lives by the moto of \u201cEducation through Athletics\u201d each and every day. The Dale Farmer award recognizes those member schools who embrace the DIAA philosophy and incorporate \u201cEducation through Athletics\u201d throughout their athletic programs.\u00a0 I am pleased to recognize those educational institutions that embrace and teach sportsmanship,\u201d said DIAA Executive Director David Baylor.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-seven (37) different member schools have won the award at least once in it\u2019s 26-year history. For award consideration, schools must submit a portfolio to DIAA. The DIAA sportsmanship committee reviews the school submissions against a set of standards.
