From its inception, the NFHS Sports Medicine Advisory Committee<\/p>\n<p>has dealt with a wide range of health and safety topics related to interscholastic sports participation. While the risk of mild and even severe injuries cannot be eliminated from athletics, risks may be minimized through a variety of interventions.
