school programs. Schools are selected in one of three categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Category 1:\u00a0Exceptional student performance and academic growth for two or more consecutive years<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Category 2:\u00a0Closing the achievement gap between student groups for two or more consecutive years<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Category 3: Excellence in serving special populations of students (e.g., homeless, migrant, English learners, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to be eligible, schools must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Poverty rate of at least 35 percent;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate high academic achievement for two or more consecutive years;<\/li>\n<li>Meet or exceed state criteria for at least two consecutive years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div
