Nomination Statement<\/h2>\n

\u201cDaughter of Travis and Melanie Wheat of Townsend, Emma is an exceptional student and young lady at the top of her 2021 Class. Emma\u2019s accolades include placing in the HOSA State Competition, and she also earned a spot in the National Competition. Emma consistently earns the Distinguished Honors recognition, earned a varsity letter in each soccer season, and she has been named a team co-captain. She regularly volunteers her time throughout the community. Emma is incredibly hardworking, positive, driven, and personable. She will attend the University of Delaware on a merit scholarship where she will study biomedical engineering. \u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u201cWhenever my dad was asked about me, he would say, \u2018she could cure cancer if that\u2019s what she wanted to do.\u2019 My parents\u2019 constant support and confidence in me inspired me to work hard. Not only this, but I have always strived to be a good role model for my sister and to lead by example.
