Nomination Statement<\/h2>\n
“Kanmani Duraikkannan embodies the mission of Odyssey Charter School through her enthusiasm for learning, passion for global citizenship, and persistence in solving problems big and small. Kanmani has been at the top of her class for the last four years and is the Youth Environmental Summit (YES) coordinator. In addition, Kanmani is a leader in multiple clubs and organizations, including Student Council president, Mental Health Committee leader, and High School Democrats of America president. Kanmani plans to attend a four-year university in the fall to pursue a career in the political science field.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
“As a member of Model United Nations, I realize that politics impacts everyone. I want a career in politics so I can help build community ties, ties that depend on the development of infrastructure, transportation, education, and food security. In the future, I hope to encourage the development and retention of civically involved, sustainable communities.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
