Nomination Statement<\/h2>\n

\u201cMadison Costello, daughter of Sean and Jennifer Costello of Lewes, is a perfect combination of intellect, diligence, and passion! She is a very independent and determined learner, as shown by her heavy course load of honors, Advanced Placement, and Academic Challenge courses. She has participated in extracurricular activities including serving as a treasurer for the National Honor Society and attending Honors County Band. She is ranked number one in her graduating class with a GPA of 4.191. Madison is still considering her college choices but plans to major on chemical engineering.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u201cMy parents have always taught me to not just memorize information but to understand the ‘why’ behind it. To understand why something happened, why a formula works, and why something is important. This has pushed me to go beyond surface knowledge in order to gain a deep understanding about everything I am interested in.
