Nomination Statement
Saulat Ledbetter is a charismatic, funny, and hardworking student who brings positive energy to our school community. He balances academics and athletics with dedication and discipline, consistently giving his best effort. Saulat is an active participant in Academic Bowl, where his teamwork and quick thinking shine. His perseverance, leadership, and strong character make him a valued role model among peers and the deaf community.
“My name is Saulat Ledbetter, and I am a senior at Delaware School for the Deaf. I stay motivated to keep strong grades and a balanced mindset because I have a strong support system, even though I value my independence. I've learned that asking for help is okay. I've grown from a short-tempered child into a calmer, more focused person. My friends, teachers, and mom inspire me to make good choices and make both them and myself proud.”
