Nomination Statement
Journi Good, daughter of Diana Nichols and Jeremy Good, is a dedicated and hardworking student. As a student in the information technology career pathway, she is ranked 1st in her class with a 4.47 grade point average. Journi has challenged herself with a rigorous course load, including honors and dual enrollment courses. She is a second-year member of the National Honor Society and co-chair of the Tutoring Committee. Journi also had the unique opportunity to attend the Governor’s School of Excellence for being top in her class. She plans to major in computer science at the University of Delaware.
“Success has always been a part of my character. At 3, I began modeling, working hard for years and eventually earning first place in modeling and acting competitions. In kindergarten, I was diagnosed with scoliosis. As my posture worsened, so did my confidence. I decided to pour my energy into what I could control: my academics and my choices. This focus, dedication, and the unwavering support of my family and friends have rebuilt my confidence.”
