Nomination Statement
Hayden Messick is the son of Crystal Thomas of Delmar. Hayden is a driven student who challenges himself everyday by taking the most rigorous classes offered at Delmar High School. Hayden ranks amongst the top of his class with a 4.74 GPA. Hayden enjoys computer programming in his free time and has been a member of the disc golf club as well as the Dungeons and Dragons club at Delmar. In the future, Hayden plans on studying computer systems and networking at a local college.
“In the Spring of 2016, my father passed away when I was only 9. Ever since then I have been working tirelessly to create the best me. A me that believes he would be proud of my accomplishments, and all that I have achieved. This is what drives me to try as hard as I do, because a part of me believes he is still watching, cheering me on.”
