Nomination Statement
Harvey Stones-Marrast is a student who strives to strengthen his community. As secretary of International Student Union and of Black Student Union, Harvey works alongside his peers to coordinate events that celebrate the range of backgrounds held by the diverse student body at William Penn High School. He balances these goals with his involvement in Science Olympiad, DECA, Key Club and his commitment to the varsity tennis team. With a challenging schedule at the center of his commitments, Harvey ranks 3rd in his class with a 4.4 cumulative GPA, and plans to study neuroscience at a four-year university.
“As a kid, I watched the adults in my life work immensely hard to provide me with the life that I’ve had. In my education I try to carry that same hardworking spirit in all of the work that I do and the activities I partake in. Through their support and the drive they have given me, I hope to make a difference in whatever spaces or communities I am a part of.”
