Nomination Statement
Briana Catalon, the daughter of Marissa and Donald Catalon, is a leader in the healthcare pathway. She excels in volunteering, working on teams at a state level-specifically HOSA and Delaware Department of Education Health Sciences Pathway boards, while excelling in her academic studies. Briana’s plans are to go to college majoring in the healthcare field and then proceeding to medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon focusing on sports medicine.
“I have been inspired by both of my parents. Growing up, watching them succeed in both of their respective career fields with a strong work ethic, led me to want to do the same. With their support and my determination to succeed, I have pushed myself to try new experiences not only within the state, but across the country where I have met so many other amazing people who have each inspired and changed me for the better.”
