Nomination Statement
Sylvia Ibrahium is an exceptional student and person whose intellectual curiosity and dedication to learning shine through. She is an AP Scholar with Distinction and a member of our Academic Hall of Fame for achieving the highest final grades in many of her courses throughout high school. Sylvia has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and resiliency with the process. Along with her challenging coursework, Sylvia balances many responsibilities and commitments with roles of president, vice president, treasurer, founder and member of several high school and community clubs/organizations, sister and daughter. The latter two being most important.
“Rudyard Kipling said, 'If you give someone more than they can do, they will do it. If you give them only what they can do, they will do nothing', and I agree. My parents always assist me with my hard choices and make sure I do not lose focus. I know they have my back. My brothers make me laugh every day. I think it's safe to say that my family played a monumental role in who I am today.”
