Nomination Statement
Patrick Watts is a driven and personable student, always striving for his personal best and encouraging others to as well. He serves as the student member of the Smyrna School District School Board, youth member of the Smyrna Planning and Zoning Committee, section leader in the Regiment of Red Marching Band, varsity volleyball player, vice president of the National Honor Society, and the community outreach liaison of Smyrna High's Student Government Association. He volunteers yearly with Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership, along with being a volunteer musician at his church. In the fall, he plans to pursue chemistry at a university undecided.
“The world is a beautiful, though complex and troublesome, place that we spend our whole lives navigating. My goal is to make journeying it a bit more manageable. However, and wherever I can, I want to help improve common aspects of living so that we can spend less time in stress, and more of it enjoying the company of the people we cherish and doing the things we love.”
