Nomination Statement
Mustafa is a truly amazing student. While attending Delmar High School, Mustafa has been taking dual enrollment classes at a local college. This has enabled Mustafa to earn an associates degree at the same time he earns his high school diploma. He is ranked at the top of his class with an astonishing 4.9 GPA. Outside of his academics, Mustafa has been a part of the chess club and an award-winning member of the BPA. Even while accomplishing all of this, Mustafa remains humble and is a pleasure to be around. After graduation, Mustafa plans to study electrical engineering.
“I witnessed firsthand the disparities in our healthcare system during my grandfather's battle with cancer. His death became my strongest motivation to pursue an unconventional path - electrical engineering followed by medicine. By combining these disciplines, I aim to harness the power of new technologies, specifically artificial intelligence, to make healthcare more equitable and accessible. My grandfather's memory drives me to ensure that advanced medical technologies, which could mean the difference between life and death, reach all patients regardless of their circumstances.”
