Nomination Statement
Daughter of Tonya and Lucious Washington, Kennedy Washington is a responsible and caring student. Kennedy plays a key role with yearbook production as our co-editor in chief and social media coordinator. Kennedy tutors young students and coordinates with their families for better outcomes. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is historian for the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society. Kennedy maintains her high GPA and top rank in many Advanced Placement and dual enrollment courses while also having part-time employment and internship experiences.
“In the second grade, when a school assignment prompted me to choose a career, I set my sights on pursuing a career in dentistry. Part of my professional goal is to eliminate the negative stigma surrounding dentist visits, especially for pediatric patients. During this journey,' I have been motivated to achieve academic excellence in the face of adversity by the unwavering support and love of my family.”
