Nomination Statement
Kayla Shoop is a passionate student who strives to contribute her best to any opportunity presented. She currently serves as the president of the Smyrna High School's chapter of Business Professionals of America as well as being an executive member of the Student Government Association. In addition to her service in these organizations, she stays productive in many other ways, such as volunteering, involvement in her business internship, and working a part time job. She is currently in the process of selecting a college for the fall, and intends to major in hospitality with a concentration in hotel management.
“During my life, achieving success has always been a consistent motivator. To obtain success, it doesn't just mean relying on luck; it takes saying yes to every opportunity, stepping outside of my comfort zone, and overcoming both internal and external pressures. Throughout the rest of my life, continuing into college and my future career, I aim to remember these ideas. With this, I strive to prove to everyone else, and most importantly myself, that I can achieve success in anything.”
