Nomination Statement
Isha, an award-winning Mock Trial attorney and All-State alto singer, is a burgeoning architect of computational innovations who applies science while learning it. Her computer vision algorithm for automating the tracking of dynamics in prokaryotic cells - published in The Young Researcher and recognized as a finalist at the International BioGENEius competition - addresses a longstanding challenge in bacterial research with stirring accuracy. At MIT's RSI summer program, she developed a computational model to analyze 3D images of dental patients to influence healing outcomes. Isha, who also programmed a school-wide tutoring mobile application known as EdiFly, will attend MIT or Stanford University.
