Nomination Statement
The daughter of Harry and Kimberly Drabold of Hockessin, Haylie has taken every opportunity available to her to challenge herself academically and personally. As part of the Early College Academy, Haylie will graduate with nine college classes under her belt. She serves as a student representative to the Red Clay School Board and is a four-year member of the band, swim team, drama club and stage crew. She has distinguished herself as a cooperative, hardworking student that contributes to her community. She plans to student elementary education in college.
“When I was younger, I thought it would be an eternity before I got to cross that stage. Now graduation is only a few short months away, and I am starting the daunting task of planning out the rest of my future. I know that my parents will always be my biggest supporters no matter what life throws my way. As I begin my new journey, I will be sure not to rush the days but to enjoy the adventure.”
