Nomination Statement
Garima is passionate about the intersection of engineering and public policy. She has worked to amplify student voices in educational policy by providing a student perspective to policymakers in Delaware. Beyond advocacy, she has written three children's books on engineering to make STEM concepts more accessible to young learners. At school, she helps lead the Technology Student Association, Computer Science Honor Society, and Dear Asian Youth club. In the future, she hopes to expand engineering education to bridge gaps in access and opportunity for students in her community and beyond.
“Throughout high school, my teachers have always motivated me to put my all into everything I do. Whether it be providing me with resources to achieve my goals or encouraging me to keep pushing forward, my teachers have always been by my side. I am constantly reminded that hard work, creativity, and commitment are necessary to succeed in both my academic and personal life.”
