Nomination Statement
David Mayo is an adventurous and hard-working student who was driven to pursue various activities and classes around William Penn. He has found himself a home in Key Club, an organization that gives back to the community. He fell in love with Color Guard and spinning flags, and achieved first place alongside his guard at the Atlantic Coast Wildwood Convention in 2024. He is excited to see where life takes him and enter the world of college where there are so many possibilities.
“Uncertainty was at first a fear of mine that I turned into my strength. I don't know what's coming next except going to college, and even there, I have no idea what I may pursue. Everything all around us is uncertain, and I've slowly come to realize and accept that and how I feel. This has allowed me the ability to continue putting in energy and hope for something good to manifest. I believe in success wherever I go.”
