Nomination Statement
Daughter of Jeff and Cara Nalepa, Cori Nalepa is a passionate student, who strives to not only pass but learn the material. She is ranked second in her graduating class with a 4.7 cumulative grade point average. She is enrolled in work based learning in the Highlander Cafe. She plans to go to college for hospitality and tourism management and wants to own her own business one day.
“At times, the personal challenges I have faced have threatened my ability to be successful. However, through support from the people I keep close in my life, I found the motivation to endure these difficult times and continue to look towards the future. Learning how to push forward, helped me excel in my dual enrollment and Advanced Placement classes. These lessons I have learned will stay with me throughout my college years and beyond and definitely contribute to my success.”
