Nomination Statement
Daughter of Stacy and Michael Hicks, Claire Marie Hicks is a hardworking and determined student. She has a 4.62 GPA which she maintains while also playing sports, engaging in extracurricular activities and volunteering. Claire is a member of both the varsity field hockey and soccer teams as well as HOSA, FCA, ASL Club and the National Honor Society. She also enjoys volunteering at our local elementary schools. Claire plans to attend the University of South Carolina where she wants to study nursing in order to become a labor and delivery nurse. Her ultimate goal is to become a nurse practitioner.
“My parents have played a key role in my success. I have grown up watching them continuously work hard and overcome their own hardships, which has motivated me to do the same. My parents have supported and motivated me my entire life and I thank them because it is what has gotten me to where I am today. They have inspired me in numerous ways and have taught me that with hard work, I can accomplish anything I want.”
