Nomination Statement
The son of Raul and Michelle Lobo, Carlos Lobo is an ambitious and motivated student. He is first in his graduating class with a 4.475 cumulative grade point average. Carlos is an active member of the cross country and indoor track teams; he has been in the Math League for four years and is active in the theater department. He has also been an integral member of the peer tutoring initiative, helping others understand math concepts. Carlos plans to attend college to major in mathematics and then work as a professor of mathematics.
“What others will accomplish far outstrips what any individual can achieve in a lifetime. My greatest enterprises were completed by a team I was a small part of. The world is full of incredible and creative people, and I have gotten to enjoy working with many of them in my brief lifespan. I am only able to befriend a small portion of the people I meet, but each has a unique talent that makes me wish I could befriend more.”
