Nomination Statement
Daughter of Zaiqi Pan and Yunqing Yuan, Cailyn Pan is a driven student determined to challenge herself and grow in all aspects of life. Cailyn's 4.701 GPA clearly illustrates her academic prowess. Through song, Cailyn volunteers her talents selflessly to spread joy throughout the community. Cailyn is active member of the school's Science Olympiad and varsity swim team. While attending school, Cailyn works for the Delaware Department of Education supporting student programming and researches plant science at the University of Delaware. Cialyn intends to pursue a degree and career in bioengineering.
“Throughout high school, I've enjoyed exploring my interests in STEM and policy. I co-lead Science Olympiad and Youth in Government, and am a Summer Science Program alumnus, NHS Scholarship Finalist, and National STEM Challenge Winner. Whether conducting genomics research, debating policy with DOE professionals, or racing with my Chswim teammates, I owe my love for learning and service to those around me. To my teachers, mentors, friends, and family - thank you for shaping the way I think, learn, and lead.”
