Nomination Statement
Daughter of Eric and Sarah Beck of Lewes, Anna is the lead editor for the Viking Ventures newspaper and has been a member of the Delaware Community Foundation Youth Philanthropy Board since ninth grade. In 2023, she was honored with the Carson Scholarship for her outstanding academic performance, integrity, and commitment to civic responsibility. With a weighted GPA of 4.214, Anna is pursuing a major in political science and international relations.
“Throughout my life I have learned that change is inevitable. While it is difficult to overcome, a constant in my life has remained my family. Having my parents' support has allowed me to excel academically and has been crucial in fostering my love of learning. Without them, I may not have discovered my passion: law. Now, as I pursue a legal career, I hope to spur the change I once dreaded, knowing my family will be there for me.”
