Nomination Statement
Runyi Liu is an otherworldly blending of rousing sentiments, razor-sharp science acumen, tactful managerial stewardship, and signature soulfulness. She is a proud HOSA Future Health Professionals state president and chair of the Youth Environmental Summit (YES). Beyond the labels of her principled leadership that helps to bring hundreds of Delawarean teens together for the sake of science-minded action, she is a genetics researcher recognized in the top 1.26% of 30,00 AP Researchers worldwide and an award-winning Mock Trial attorney. Runyi--who represented Delaware at the National Youth Science Camp and the Governor's School for Excellence in Visual Arts--will attend Harvard University.
