Nomination Statement
Marlie Janvier is the daughter of Evens and Penina Janvier of Seaford. Marlie is an exceptional student who is driven to succeed. She is currently ranked first in her class with a weighted GPA of 102.56. Marlie is president of National Honor Society, vice president of FFA, a member of Key Club, and a church musician. Last summer, while serving as a student intern, Marlie was instrumental in the installation of a hydroponic system in our high school greenhouse and has given many presentations regarding Seaford's hydroponic program. Marlie plans to study nursing at University of Delaware or Villanova University.
“My inspiration for succeeding has come from my parents. Both of them, especially my mother, knew how great my potential was. They never settled for less or the bare minimum. My father always makes sure that I'm using all the resources around me to succeed because of how limitless they are. They also showed me that true success and prosperity are possible through God and hard work. These things shaped my mindset for the present and future.”
