Nomination Statement
Daughter of Alex and Rachel Argo, Kathryn "Katie" Argo has been one of the most active students to walk the halls of Lake Forest. Katie has dedicated countless community service hours through FFA, having held the position of FFA historian and currently serves as FFA Chapter vice president. Additionally, Katie has captained Lake Forest's very competitive girls' cross country team while taking one of the most rigorous academic schedules available. Uniquely, Katie owns Katie's Corner, her own metal and woodworking business where she sells her products through e-commerce. Katie plans on majoring in environmental science at Washington College.
“Throughout my life, my parents have consistently stood by my side and supported me. They have always said, 'Mistakes are not failures but opportunities to learn.' No matter what challenges I face or mistakes I make, my parents are there to help me see where I can grow and continue to learn. I am so thankful to have parents who have supported my endeavors because I would not be where I am today without them.”
