Nomination Statement
Kathleen Ford is the highest ranking cadet at First State Military Academy, Cadet Colonel. She excels both in the classroom as well as through her involvement of extra curricular activities. As a member of National Honor Society, HOSA, the girls soccer team, the drill team, the color guard, as well as other MCJROTC activities, she is a true leader amongst her peers. She can be seen at school functions as well in the community volunteering for many events. Upon graduation she plans to attend college to enter the medical field.
“Going to a military school, I have been surrounded by a strong sense of culture and community that has pushed me for the past four years. I motivated myself to set high standards because for me, that's the only option there is. With the strong support of my family and friends, I intend to continue pushing through college to earn a degree in nursing and work within the controlled chaos of the emergency room.”
