Nomination Statement
Extremely hard-working and incredibly involved, Iveena Mukherjee is a student that has shown immense success inside and outside of the classroom. Taking an entire schedule of Advanced Placement courses, being a leader within the school on student council, taking initiative outside of school as the chair/creator of multiple, large-scale, community organizations, and also being a three season athlete - she is the picture of multifaceted.
“Throughout high school, I've enjoyed exploring my interests. I co-lead the Speech & Debate and Science Olympiad teams, and was a delegate for the US Senate Youth Program. I've also delved into environmentalism, conducting sustainable materials science research and serving on the Roots & Shoots Youth Council. The word 'and' resonates with me, especially as I've explored approaching environmental issues through both a scientific and community lens. In the future, I'm excited to study engineering and business to create feasible environmental solutions.”
