Nomination Statement
Daughter of Carlos Gomez-Rivera & Lesvia Bartolon-Ramirez, Delsy Gomez Bartolon is hardworking and dedicated. She is an International Baccalaureate student and currently has over a 4.5 cumulative grade point average. Delsy is actively involved in our Sussex Central community as a member of the National Honor Society, Philosophy Club, Environmental Club and Interact Club of which she is vice president. Outside of school, she is an active member of the Pathfinder's Club and participates in many community service projects. Delsy plans to attend the Wentworth Institute of Technology for a Bachelor of Science in architecture and eventually earning a graduate degree.
“My main aspiration in life has been to own a garden and live peacefully, this mostly being a wish my mother has instilled in me. But to get to be able to live in a peaceful environment I must first succeed in life and pass my limit, as my father taught me. He always believed in me to succeed and to find a way to make college affordable. Thanks to that I have almost 30K in scholarships! ”
