Nomination Statement
Daughter of Reverends Monica and Turhan Potter, Alyssa Potter has a passion for academic excellence with a deep interest in journalism and a strong background in dance. She has danced competitively for the last 10 years and dances in regional and national competitions. Alyssa ranks fourth of 530 seniors with a 99.62 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. Alyssa is a volunteer in school and the community, treasurer of Class of 2024, and a member of our Student Council and Spanish Club. Alyssa plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in English/journalism.

Throughout my academic journey, I have discovered that my faith in God serves as a profound source of inspiration, propelling me toward success despite the various challenges I encounter. God has used ordinary people like my parents, family, teachers, and friends to help me on my journey. With a solid community behind me, I won't fail.”
