Nomination Statement
Payton Keeler is a hardworking, intellectual, self-motivated, and active senior who is ranked at the top of her class. She maintains this rank with her rigorous class schedule including dual enrollment courses. When Payton is not participating in the classroom, she is a dedicated three-season athlete in field hockey, basketball, and softball. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society and holds leadership positions in both. Payton plans to attend Newberry College on a field hockey athletic scholarship. She will major in physical education.
“Despite the stress of school or the exhaustion of sports, my love for competition is what makes me hungry for success. By simply creating small competitions with my classmates, teammates, or with myself, I have found my large workloads and goals to feel achievable. This outlook has made even the most minuscule tasks seem pleasurable, and I think implementing this mindset to more than just school and sports, but even my future career will lead to great success.”
