Nomination Statement
Daughter of Mukhair Singh and Gurninder Kaur of Dover, Khushdeep earns exemplary grades. She is taking dual enrollment college courses on top of Advanced Placement classes. She has earned the AP Scholar Award, a High Honor Roll. Khushdeep is very involved in school and around the community. In addition, she has earned more than 200 volunteer hours. She has completed her certification and is a clinical nursing assistant. Khushdeep plans to attend the University of Maryland or Delaware in the fall and major in neuroscience on the pre-med track.
“My family is my true source of inspiration. I have seen what my parents have built with the opportunities that were not given, but created, in order for their children to have a better future. It would be an actual disservice if I did not credit my success to them, as well as my younger brother. He pushes me to be not only a better sister, but a better person. I am forever grateful for all their love and support.”
