Nomination Statement
Daughter of Thameenah Davis of Wilmington, Brazil Munroe is an ambitious leader who has proven she has the capacity to accomplish many endeavors on a high level. Brazil is ranked first in her class with a 4.2 GPA. She is a student-athlete and is active on the principal’s student advisory board and student government. She is also a makeup artist and entrepreneur. Brazil plans to one day serve her community as a political representative. Brazil will attend Virginia State University to study political science and minor in creative writing.
“In second grade, I was student of the month for perseverance. I was unaware of the meaning, yet I knew I embodied it. I had never been recognized for much, so that recognition stuck with me throughout life. When faced with endeavors, that achievement guided me to a solution each time. I have learned that no matter how challenging a situation, it isn't impossible. This mindset has inspired me to do well in all aspects of life including academics.”
