Nomination Statement
Daughter to Gina and Mark Mitchell, Asia Mitchell is a promising student with a bright future. She has a winning attitude and is known for her unwavering kindness. Asia is ranked second in her graduating class and holds leadership roles in Key Club, Prom Committee and Senior Class Student Council. Asia is also a member of Business Professionals of America. She is undecided on her college choice but has narrowed it down to Howard University and the University of Delaware to major in computer science and minor in art.
“Proverbs 19:8 says 'The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.' Focusing on my education reminds me that God wants me to work hard in this world, despite my doubts, challenges and struggles. Learning is a part of life, and that is something I have begun to understand and embrace regardless of mistakes made along the way.”
