Nomination Statement
Daughter of Umesh Khatiwada and Nilu Jha, Devyanshi ranks at the top of her class with a 4.735 GPA. Passionate about healthcare, Devyanshi aims to become a physician and influence policy. As co-president of HOSA, she leads effectively, qualifying for nationals annually and organizing blood drives. Her perseverance is evident in securing a research internship on maternal immune activation. Devyanshi's summer experiences, including completing her Bharatanatyam Arangetram, taking a gene editing course, and volunteering at a hospital, reflect her dedication and ability to balance multiple commitments. She plans to study medicine at the University of Pennsylvania this fall.
“What inspires me to do well is having an impact on my community. Whether it's helping elderly patients find their way at the hospital or teaching dental hygiene to first graders, I find the most fulfillment in making a difference in people's lives. In the future, I hope to pursue a career where I can continue creating meaningful change. Seeing the direct impact of my efforts, no matter how big or small, motivates me to push myself further.”
