Nomination Statement
Daughter of Clara Sontay Pelico, Lindsey Sontay Pelico is motivated and dedicated. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Brother/Sister Knights, Science Club, Environmental Club and Interact Club. Outside of school she participates in many community service activities including those with her church, food drives, Feeding the 5000, mentoring and festivals. She is not sure where she will be attending college, but she desires to major in social work so that she can continue helping others.
“I come from a Hispanic background, the first female to go to college, and am a daughter to a single mother. These three factors have and will continue to motivate me to pursue a future. I might not know what that future may look like, but I know I have a responsibility to reach it. My mom left everything behind, and in return, I want to provide everything I can for her.”
